ANTI-VIBRATION PAD & TOOL-LESS MOUNTING
Not only does the anti-vibration pad help to reduce overall vibrations, but the fixed rubber pins, in addition to reducing vibration, also make it easy to mount VORTEX series fans in a case with no tools required. These features are on the VORTEX, VORTEX HDB and VORTEX PWM fans.
HYDRO-DYNAMIC-BEARING TECHNOLOGY
COUGAR’s Hydro Dynamic Bearing (HDB) technology helps the VORTEX HDB and VORTEX PWM fans run more smoothly without friction. This design is achieved through the use of oil surface tension and hydrodynamic pumping forces, greatly reducing any rubbing between the shaft and bearing. This in turn leads to a quieter operation even at high speeds and to a longer fan lifespan.
PUSLE WIDTH MODULATION FOR EFFECTIVE FAN SPEED CONTROL
Featured on the VORTEX PWM, the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) function gives users smooth control over fan speeds from 800 to 1500RPM. As this function allows users to control fan speed without tweaking the voltage, users can more accurately tweak the speed of the fans, which allows a more customizable cooling setup. Additionally, the PWM function allows the VORTEX PWM fans to operate quieter at lower speeds.
