We were invited at the Manila Game Jam 2015 at Ateneo de Manila to witness their 2-day game making challenge.

Held last January 23 to 25, 2015, over hundreds of young game developers and students that have gathered in four different venues around the country, where they will be joining in a two-day challenge where they will conceptualize and create a game within the time frame. Imagine this as a LAN party or hackathon for game development. As for a fun fact, Manila Game Jam is just one of the several Game Jams being held in different countries at the same day, so it’s a global event.

Surprisingly around a hundred games (32 games for Ateneo) were created and showcased at the same day. It was a fun experience seeing these young and aspiring people showing their passion for gaming by creating their own masterpiece, hopefully this will help them motivated to continue with the game development.

Special thanks to IGDA Manila for inviting us on this annual event and looking forward for another Game Jam
