The next Tales of game was announced at the annual Tales of Festival event in Japan.

The announced new Tales of game will be Tales of Berseria and it will be available for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Tales of Berseria will be having a pirate themed setting and will focus on a female protagonist named Velvet; which will be voiced by Rina Satou (who voiced some notable characters such as Mikoto Misaka from A Certain Scientific Railgun and Kiyoh from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann). Character design was handled by Mutsumu Inomata (who also did the design for Tales of Zestiria, Xillia, Xillia 2 and Graces). Animation studio Ufotable will be in charge of the animated cutscenes for the game.

The Tales of series was one of the longest running JRPG franchise from Bandai Namco, the most recent localized Tales of game released was Tales of Hearts R for the Vita and the upcoming Tales of Zestiria for the PlayStation 3 will arrive this year.
