Looks like we’re getting more things MU.

The successor to Webzen’s long running MMORPG MU Online called MU Legend is well underway as the registration of its Closed Beta Phase opens up today. First rumored back in 2004, MU Legend is a dark-fantasy themed MMO that shares similarities to Blizzard’s Diablo 3 with its hack and slash combat elements, and as well as solo-play and multi-play content.

The game will run using Unreal Engine 3 and will feature 4 distinct character choices, the Darklord, Whisperer, Blader and Warmage, and will also feature other distinct MU features particularly it’s UI and Control scheme. The Beta Registration for MU Legends is now ongoing and interested players can head on to MULegend.Webzen.com to find out more.

On another thing considering MU, MU Online is bound to open up a month-long Event Server this October 4 whose highlight features include EXP boosts and increased item drop rates. Titled the Speed Event Server MU Online players will be able to take part in this event by first obtaining a “Gold Channel Ticket” which will also grant them a 1 Billion zen bonus and as well as 900% chance increase in Quest Item drop rates for upgrading your character class. The Speed Event Server’s capacity is limited to 600 players at a time with additional bonus items to be rewarded once players hit specific level tiers while on through the Event Server.
