Gravity Co., Ltd, the video game corporation famous for the massively successful Ragnarok Online, has opened its doors for the sequel Ragnarok II: Legend of the Second. The OBT has been officially launched on December 27th at 3pm (GMT+8), but with a mass crowd – and we mean extremely high traffic – trying to log in all at the same time, it underwent amendments and is expected to reopen on January 3, 2013.
The game is SEA based, and to cater to its cuteness, Gravity has released an anime trailer that shows some of the elements you will expect inside the game.
Novices of the game will find it painless to navigate with as the simple control system enables low-level players to be familiar with the controls easily. While being closely influenced by its predecessor, the character customization system and card system of RO2 have been improved.
Job system
The jobs are very familiar with Ragnarok Online, having Swordsman, Thief, Archer, Acolyte and Magician as first class jobs.
Dual-life system
In RO2, you can continuously use your character for services even if you are offline. Instead of setting up your character to vend, there is a new function of enabling your characters as NPCs to heal, craft, tailor, etc to online players and profit from it.
Card system
Instead of being inserted in individual items, cards in RO2 will be attached to the character. Hooray! No more I-accidentally-put-the-hydra-card-in-a-knife situation. Moreover, there are certain cards when put together will give an additional stat as a combined effect.
Pet system
No game is complete without pets! The familiar pet system will be implemented, and rest assured, you will be enjoying the cuteness of each pet RO2 has to offer.
Now that the game is in 3D, expect more cute stuff to come along! From characters to monsters, everything is way too adorable. While waiting for the servers to become stable, you can check the RO2 page for announcements and contests.
