Just about 3 weeks since its initial announcement, one of the most iconic RPGs that hit consoles now has a release date.

The third episode to one of the most loved Franchises in gaming history gets its own PC Port (tomorrow as of this article’s publication), via Valve’s Steam Platform and lets fans relive the adventure that was Final Fantasy III. Square Enix, the game’s lead developer states that the Steam Version of the game would include improved 3D visuals and story sequences and as well as a Trading Card System. In addition to its improved 3D visuals, Final Fantasy III’s Steam Port will also be getting a lot of optimization when it comes to its design making it feel like a brand new game with the same old feel of the original version.

Yoshinori Kitashe, the game’s producer has this to say:
“There are lots of regions and countries where PC is very strong. So in terms of our hope of being able to deliver our games to every single country in the world and to as many gamers as possible, yes, we would definitely be interested in pursuing that route in the future…It’s an early stage for us. We haven’t got an awful lot of experience in this field. So when we have more know-how and experience in this market we would be very interested.”

The initial release will be coming your way this May 28, 2014 and hopefully a worldwide release via Steam to come soon.

*Update (5/27/2014)*
Steam has just released Final Fantasy III in North America (still not available in other countries)

So, if anyone saw my video reviewing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. You would all know that I’m quite a fan of Vanillaware’s work. Odin’s Sphere, Grim-well, not that. Though Muramasa, Dragon’s Crown, and of course 13 Sentinels have a special place in my heart. That and the...
