Heroes of the Storm Special Announcement
Both Asiasoft and Blizzard will be announcing something great about their new MOBA game; Heroes of the Storm. What could it be? We’ll soon find out as these two big publishers have joined forces to bring this to the Southeast Asian gamers and we are looking forward on what to expect more from the game.
Rise of the Local Game Developers
If we are going to showcase more on games, why not also include the developers. Some of the local indie game developers will be present at the event, showcasing some of their current line-ups and some upcoming titles. Developers such as Synergy 88, Dreamlords Digital, BoomZap and Quickfire Games will be present as well as organizations like the International Game Developers Association, University of the Philippines Association of Computing Machinery and College of St. Benilde G.U.I.L.D. This could be the first major gaming convention where the indie game developers will be part of the event highlights, so let’s show our support to the local developers and play some of their creations.
Clash of the MOBAs
Four MOBA games will be highlighted at ESGS; DoTA 2, League of Legends, Strife and Heroes of the Storm, some of them will be part of the tournaments while the others will be demonstrated at the event itself. So all those MOBA fanatics can stop arguing on which game is the best and just get along and have fun.
Console Revolution
Hurray for console gamers! There will be an area dedicated only to the console platform. With the combined might of PinoyPS, Smash Pilipinas, Pinoy2DFighters and Pinoy Versus, they will be showcasing a ton of new games for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and if you are more of a social type, you can rack up a ton of StreetPass tags with your Nintendo 3DS or meet other fellow 3DS/PS Vita players and have a friendly match inside the event.
Awesome Rigs from the PC Modding Community
Marvel at some of the awesome rigs from the PC modding community as MSI will be hosting their Annual Rig Modding Competition at ESGS. If you’re a PC enthusiast, overclocker or just a rig modder, you can participate at this contest, for more details about the competition, head to their mechanics page.
Open Floor Cosplay Competition
Of course any pop culture convention won’t be complete without any cosplayers. This time the cosplay competition will not be held on a standard catwalk stage. Instead, their stage will be the entire event venue, Anime Alliance Philippines have cooked up a new twist to the competition. Check out the whole mechanics for more details at the AAP’s page.
