It’s just a little over 2 weeks, no need to raise those pitchforks.

EA Dice’s upcoming title and sequel to the popular Xbox title Mirror’s Edge, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has now been confirmed to be released at a later date than the original. The reason, explained by the game’s design director Erik Odeldahl is that the development team would need a little more time to work on the game’s Social Play feature, which serves as a specialized multiplayer factor for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Odeldahl explains that

“To support the Social Play features, we are using a brand new online technology. We also want to make sure we have the opportunity and time to address player feedback from the Closed Beta. That is why we will give ourselves a bit more time to perfect the game, with a new release date for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst of June 7th (NA) and June 9th (EU). We’re confident that these extra two weeks will make sure the game is as amazing as possible for you the players”.

With that being said, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be released this coming June 7 in North America and June 9 in Europe, and possibly the rest of the world, roughly 2 weeks from the original release date of May 24. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be playable on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 Platforms and will be published by Eletronic arts.
