Pop Life Esports just got real.

Just a quick heads-up for Dota 2 fans, a new, probable, international event is coming to the Philippines next month under the banner of Pop Life, the brand which also backed what was once the biggest convention here in the Philippines that is ToyCon during its 2016 and 2017 iterations, called the Dota 2 All Star Weekend.

Apart from inviting international teams to compete in its invitational tournament highlight, the Dota 2 All Star Weekend Manila will also feature Movie Filming for the Hollywood-produced Esports movie titled “Underdogs Rising” which we presume to star Will Ferrell given how there was an announcement about Ferrell starring in an Esports movie together with pro players from organisations such as Evil Geniuses and Fnatic which also leads us to presume that these teams will also be invited to the event.

Team Evil Geniuses’s 2015 roster as they won the The International Dota 2 Championships 2015 title.

In additional to the film shoot, and the invitational tournament, the Dota 2 All Star Weekend Manila 2017 the event also features what looks like community centered activities such as a 1-on-1 challenge, a Man vs Machine challenge wherein perhaps participants get to challenge an AI opponent similar to what pro player Danil “Dendi” Ishutin did during TI7, and a Celebrity Matchup.

The Dota 2 All Star Weekend Manila 2017 will be this coming Oct 13-15, 2017 in SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila. The event will be the 4th Dota 2 major event hosted here in the Philippines following ESL One Manila, the Manila Major, and the Manila Masters.

Unicorn Overlord Review: Deserving of a Crown

So, if anyone saw my video reviewing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. You would all know that I’m quite a fan of Vanillaware’s work. Odin’s Sphere, Grim-well, not that. Though Muramasa, Dragon’s Crown, and of course 13 Sentinels have a special place in my heart. That and the...
