Gundam Extreme Versus 2 Announced for the Arcades in Japan

The hit mecha arcade fighting game is getting a sequel this end of October.

Bandai Namco has announced Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Versus 2 for the arcades in Japan, and will be rolling out on October 30. The latest title from the Gundam Versus series that pits popular mobile suits from different Gundam franchise in a 2-on-2 format. The recent title was Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost On for the arcades and Gundam Versus for the PlayStation 4.

Gundam Extreme Versus 2 will feature updated visuals and will include over 160 mobile suits from different Gundam series with some having new move sets or special abilities, some of the new mobile suits include Try Burning Gundam, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, Gundam AGE-1 Granza, Zaku Amazing, Montero, Astray Blue Frame D, Gundam Maxter. The intro video was also revealed showcasing the new mobile suits for the game.

Two new EX Burst systems are introduced; Mobility and Linkage Burst, giving new play styles to competitive players. Another new feature include Practice mode, where players can practice their selected mobile suits at a limited time, Group Play mode, Player Tournament and Plus Coin mode that lets you continue to play until a certain amount of matches even when defeated at a cost of additional coins or tokens.

No info if the game will be getting a console release, but fans of the arcade game will surely be excited to try it out once it becomes available in Japanese arcades on October 30.
