E3 2017: BioWare’s Anthem will be the first new IP to come to the Xbox Scorpio

So the Scorpio WILL have games after all.

BioWare, creators of the Mass Effect series, and now a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, has unveiled that they are working on a new IP today at E3 2017, with the first teaser trailer shown during EA’s press conference.

Set in what looks like a treacherous Sci-Fi planet, the teaser trailer shows us bits and pieces of what the game could be about with some huge monsters which you can presumably fight using mechanized armor. The setting also implies that the game’s setting could be some sort of post-apocalyptic world, with signs of both advanced technology and hints of economic downfall.

Although EA was kind enough to reveal BioWare’s upcoming new IP, a much more major reveal is reserved for Microsoft’s press briefing on Day 2 of E3 2017 which means that Anthem will be the first, if not, one of the first new IPs that will be part of the Xbox Scorpio game list, although it may not be an exclusive as the footnote seen on the trailer’s last few seconds suggests that it will also arrive on other platforms, although the question, if the game will be out in time for the holidays or during the Project Scorpio’s slated release period, will hopefully be answered tomorrow during Microsoft’s E3 press spot.
