Nintendo Will Release Three Special Edition 3DS XL Units

Nintendo will be releasing three special edition designs for the 3DS XL, though these will be very limited.

Even with the announcement of the New 3DS from Japan, Nintendo of America will continue providing 3DS XL unit with special edition designs in celebration of t he release of their new games.

First is the Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL Edition which features the main characters at the front cover. It will be available on September 19 for $200. Sadly, the unit will not include the game as a bundle.

Second on the list is more of a Throwback Thursday response to the long time Nintendo fans. The limited NES edition of the 3DS XL will have the classic NES controller as its front cover design while the box package will have a NES console design which matches well with the unit. It will be available on October 10 for $200, this will be a GameStop exclusive.

And Finally the third from the batch, the Persona Q special edition will have a book-themed design on the unit. It is also a Gamestop exclusive and unfortunately, the game will be sold separately. It will be available on November 25 for $200.
