Dissidia Final Fantasy is Finally Heading to the PlayStation 4

Square Enix has finally revealed that the Dissidia Final Fantasy arcade game is heading to the PlayStation 4.

Now called Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, the arcade game will be an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and will be available in early 2018. Developed by Team Ninja; which is also part of Koei Tecmo’s development studio, the game will feature the familiar gameplay from the previous PlayStation Portable games but will now feature 3 versus 3 battles. Dissidia NT will still feature the bravery system where players must stack up brave points by attacking and hitting your opponents and use a devastating skills that spends your current brave points to reduce the health points of your opponent.

Over 20 Final Fantasy characters are playable, from the main protagonists and antagonists of the numbered series as well as some from spin-off games such as Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0 and Ramza from Final Fantasy Tactics. Noctis from Final Fantasy XV will be making an appearance on Dissida NT according to the source gathered by Gematsu. And just like in previous Dissidia games, you can earn exp and Gil from fights to level up your characters to unlock new skills and customize them to your liking, the game will also have a narrative that was lacking in the arcade version, though not entirely a Story mode, it will still feature some event scenes before battles to flesh out the plot of the game. The story will be written by Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts I & II). There are several game modes that will be available ranging from competitive online matches, custom lobbies, offline matches against the AI or player and training modes to practice your skills.

Get ready for an epic battle when Dissidia Final Fantasy NT hits the stores on early 2018 for the PlayStation 4.
