One advantage for the Mega Drive version is that they’ll have the 6-button layout for the controllers that is a staple for the Mega Drive line and for the Genesis model 2 version instead of the original 3-button layout, which can be a bummer for those who opted for the 6-button layout.

In case you are wondering if there will be a proper release here, game distributor Epicsoft Asia will be bringing the Genesis Mini version in the Philippines for PhP 4,590. Expect to see the mini console at your favorite local gaming stores.
