Organizers of the Taipei Game Show (TGS) are launching TGS LINK Biz-Matching 2.0 to help professionals in the game industry to conduct business meetings online. TGS organizers have also revealed that Asia Pacific Game Summit is scheduled to roll out INDIE SALON ONLINE in early June.

TGS LINK Biz-Matching 2.0 is an online event for exhibitors and visitors who were planning to attend the 2020 Taipei Game Show. This online platform will allow users to search for new opportunities and create partnerships without the restrictions of time or distance and is set to open to professionals in the game industry for registration at the end of May. From June 1–24, registered users will be able to browse products and services from all registered companies, exchange business cards via the Card Exchange function, and invite other users to participate in online meetings. Please note that the online meetings will only be taking place from June 23–24 between 10 am and 5 pm (GMT+8), so be sure to take this opportunity and video or voice conference with your potential business partners!

Game events and exhibitions around the world have all been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, but game development, publishing, and promotion all still require extensive global collaboration. By using TGS LINK Biz-Matching 2.0, industry professionals will be able to stay connected online, while the platform’s Card Exchange function can facilitate cooperation between game developers, publishers, and advertising companies.

Along with the 2020 Taipei Game Show, the 2020 Asia Pacific Game Summit has also been suspended. However, the indie game developer-focused forum INDIE SALON will continue to provide excellent content this year by being hosted online. INDIE SALON ONLINE is set to take place on June 11 and 18 and will feature several indie developers with a wealth of experience and numerous awards between them. This year, the forum has invited Taiwanese indie developers Digital Crafter, Gamtropy and Toii Inc., as well as international developers Imba Interactive (Singapore), Ichigoichie (Sweden), Keybol Games (Philippines), and Metronomik (Malaysia) to share their knowledge and development experience with us. Forum sessions will be available in both Chinese and English, and registration is open to the public now!
