Sega will be releasing the Astro City Mini Arcade Cabinet

The new mini-arcade cabinet boasts a total of 36 games and has some nifty features.

Sega continues to throw us with more nostalgic items like with the Genesis Mini and the upcoming Game Gear Micro. This time it’s for the arcade fans that will be getting something.

As part of their 60th anniversary celebration, Sega has announced the Astro City Mini Arcade Cabinet, the iconic arcade machine is based on the 1993 design to give that nostalgic feel to any arcade gamers who played it in the ’90s. The Astro City Mini Arcade Cabinet is packed with 36 arcade games, with 10 of them are games from Sega:

  • Virtua Fighter
  • Altered Beast
  • Alien Syndrome
  • Alien Storm
  • Golden Axe
  • Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder
  • Columns II
  • Dark Edge
  • Tant R
  • Fantasy Zone

The mini arcade cabinet will have a 6-button layout and is equipped with a stereo speaker, you can play the mini arcade cabinet as is or you can plug two gamepads or fighting sticks via two USB ports behind the unit, and if you want to play it a large monitor or LED TV, you can hook it up with an HDMI cable.

The Sega Astro City Mini Arcade Cabinet will be available in Japan for JPY 12,800 at the end of the year.
