505 Games have unveiled the sequel to its cyberpunk parkour action game Ghostrunner.

Ghostrunner 2 is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles by Kraków-based game developer One More Level, lead developers of the first game. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the Ghostrunner’s massively successful launch for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Published in October 2020, Ghostrunner attracted hundreds of thousands of players quickly at launch, and captivated communities with its polished AAA features produced – boasting impressive technology like ray tracing and deep learning super sampling while also inhabiting slick, lightning-speed action, and one-hit-one-kill parkour mechanics. During its first four months of release, Ghostrunner sold more than 600,000 copies while sales continued to bolster.

505 Games and One More Level continue to entertain Ghostrunner players around the world with thrilling hi-fi gaming experiences as the companies continuously work on their development roadmap, which takes players through several post-launch DLC releases and a launch for Ghostrunner on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year. 505 Games became the sole owner of the copyright to Ghostrunner in 2021.
