Intragames announced through the Ultra Age Roadmap Press Conference that they will release the PC version of Ultra Age on Steam on April 28, 2022.

The press conference was held in the form of pre-recording to prevent concerns over the spread of COVID-19. Kang Hyun-woo, CEO of Next Stage, explained several improvements in the ‘Ultra Age’ PC version at the press conference.

There were various refinements in ‘Ultra Age’ such as graphics, gameplay and other content.

The overall background, the graphic quality of all chapters and the appearance of the main character ‘Age’ have been improved. There was also the frame improvement, graphic option addition and the adjustment of the game level design and difficulty. Some of the in-game play elements have been modified for more comfortable gameplay as well.

In the case of sound, the existing English-Japanese voice was completely re-recorded to enhance immersion. There are also improved various bugs and added in-game options for PC users.

CEO Kang Hyun-woo said, “In addition to announcing the overall improvement, we are also preparing a free DLC to provide additional entertainment.”

The free DLC includes end content for users who have cleared all the story modes of the game, rogue-lite style gameplay, a method of growing through various choices and collective elements. DLC will be provided free of charge in the early second half of this year.

Along with the announcement of the release date, Intragames announced that the improvements and additions to ‘Ultra Age’ will be applied to PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™ as well as the PC version. It will be applied to the console versions as soon as possible.

CEO Kang Hyun-woo said, “Once again, I sincerely appreciate for showing a lot of interest in ‘Ultra Age’ for about seven months after its launch. I hope this improvement will serve as an opportunity for ‘Ultra Age’ to be more faithful to high-speed action and highly evaluated beyond indie games.”

Meanwhile, ‘Ultra Age’ is a high-speed action game developed mainly by indie game company Next Stage and game graphics company Visual Dart. It was released on September 9, 2021 on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch after about four and a half years of development period. It was developed with Unreal Engine 4 and attracted a lot of attention at the time of its release, showing excellent action and gameability beyond indie games.

It is equipped with various fun elements for fast and colorful actions, such as ‘quantum warp’ that avoids enemy’s attacks in time and replaces several types of swords so continues various combo attacks or quickly approaches distant enemies, ‘critical rage’ that explodes energy to strengthen oneself and ‘weapon destruction attack’ that delivers a powerful attack by destructing weapons.
