Capcom has revealed at Summer Game Fest the latest trailer of Monster Hunter Wilds, set for worldwide release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The video showcases a game experience that pursues seamless immersion, where dramatic story developments and gameplay are seamlessly connected.

New key Visual Revealed

A new key visual depicting a Hunter facing a pack of Doshaguma in the Windward Plains was revealed, a setting that gives a glimpse into the wild and ferocious nature of the world of Monster Hunter Wilds.

Leviathan

A Leviathan species monster that inhabits sandy areas and is also known as the Balahara. It moves smoothly through the sand with its twisted body and uses mucus secreted from within its body to attack.

Desert-dwelling leviathans use their supple, serpentine bodies to create quicksand traps for unwary prey.

Encounters among monsters

In the new trailer, you can see multiple Balahara attacking the large-bodied Doshaguma, and smaller monsters attacking the Chatacabra.

In the harsh environment of the Forbidden Lands, you will witness not only territorial battles between large monsters but also smaller monsters attacking larger ones. By understanding and adapting to the behavior of monsters in such an environment, you can gain an advantage in your hunts. Therefore, be sure to carefully observe your surroundings.

Immerse yourself in a seamless connection between the rich storyline and gameplay

Monster Hunter Wilds is currently in active development to dynamically and richly depict the story woven by the characters and monsters, allowing you to enjoy seamless gameplay while maintaining a deep sense of immersion.

A mysterious boy named ‘Nata’ with a melancholic expression. In the Windward Plains, the first area to be investigated, the boy witnessed a large pack of Balahara moving through the sandy terrain.

Seamlessly transitioning from the cutscene to gameplay, it dynamically shifts to escaping from a pack of Balahara while riding a Seikret. While riding a Seikret, you can fend off the approaching pack with your weapon. Additionally, the Seikret will automatically evade monster attacks.

Mysterious large monster

The Forbidden Lands showcases both the richness and harshness of nature. Windward Plains, with its towering crescent-shaped mountain, is another field shrouded in mystery. During bad weather, beware of raging sandstorms and lightning strikes. In the latest footage, a mysterious large monster unleashing electric attacks against a ferocious Doshaguma appears!
