Riot Games Philippines announced the second season of Wild Rounds: Pilipinas, the nationwide grassroots tournament of its hit mobile 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), League of Legends: Wild Rift. Geared toward sustaining the vibrant and competitive gaming ecosystem in the Philippines, Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 promises a more legendary season with an upgraded ₱1.5 million prize pool and a wilder tournament roadmap that will run from Q2 to Q4 of 2025.

With the inception of Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open last year, Riot PH made an emphasis to focus on developing the Wild Rift grassroots ecosystem, breathing life into a new chapter of more rewarding experiences and opportunities for loyal players and the broader Filipino gaming community. With its return for the second season, Riot Games Philippines reaffirms the evolution of Wild Rift competitive play in the local scene.

“Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 is our way of keeping our ever-supportive core communities alive while bringing Wild Rift even closer to more Filipino players. By aligning with Riot Games’ global calendar and patch updates, we see to it that our local activations deliver world-class gaming experiences,” said Joel Guzman, Country Manager of Riot Games Philippines.

Prior to the tournament rollout, Riot Games under its Wild Rounds Circuit introduces other player-engaging activities to excite fans and encourage new challengers to join the action.

Kicking things off is Wild Rift Wednesdays, a weekly creator and community play series that kicked off last April. The weekly call-to-play seeks to highlight fan-favorite gaming personalities and give players more opportunities to engage with the broader Wild Rift PH community. .

Further expanding the reach of the PH Wild Rift scene, Riot Games PH has enabled Ground Zero Tournament to host a series of grassroots and amateur events beginning this May, spotlighting hyper-local talent from regional communities across the country. Gaming fans should look out for these events to run until October, to see amateur players get the chance to compete in electrifying matches just like their pro idols.

For this year’s main event, Riot Games PH officially opens registration for Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 this May. The second season of the tournament features three splits to be held per quarter with a nationwide open format.

  • Interested players are invited to sign up for Split 1, with registration open this May. Brackets will be drawn on June 9 and posted on Wild Rift’s social media channels on June 10.
  • Group Stage matches for Groups A & B will take place on June 14–15, and Groups C & D on June 21–22. The top four teams from each group will advance to the Top 16, with corresponding brackets revealed on June 25.
  • Livestream viewers and players can look forward to the Top 16 and Top 8 matches on June 28 and 29, respectively—culminating in the high-stakes live finals on July 5.

Updates on Wild Rounds: Pilipinas 2025 registrations will be announced soon.

The hype around Wild Rounds continues with the return of the new and evolved edition of Wild Rounds: Smash. This year’s all-star invitational Wild Rift tournament will showcase fan-favorite pro teams and top Filipino gaming influencers set to be revealed soon, as they compete alongside each other vs other regions under revamped tournament mechanics.

In celebration of five years of redefining the mobile MOBA experience in the Philippines, Riot Games is marking Wild Rift’s milestone anniversary this October with thrilling in-game events, exclusive rewards, and surprise content for the community. The celebration honors both longtime and new players who’ve kept the Wild Rift spirit alive, through battles fought, friendships formed, and unforgettable moments shared.

“This year’s tournament, along with our other exciting lineup of activities for Wild Rift, are a manifestation of our consistent dedication to the community,” shared Kimi Salazar, MOBA Brand Manager of Riot Games Philippines. “Our goal is to inspire deeper engagement and unite players, creators, and gaming communities across the country. In true Filipino spirit, we’re inviting everyone again to ‘magpakitang gilas’ at the Rift.”

With the LoL: Wild Rift 2025 Roadmap revealed, Riot Games invites all to stay tuned for exciting updates on Wild Rounds: Pilipinas tournament, circuit activations, and the 5th-anniversary celebration that usher in a revamped year of evolution for Wild Rift and its thriving local community.
