We dropped by the Goddess of Victory: Nikke booth at Toycon 2025 to check up on the community

Toycon isn’t just about toys and collectibles; back in the day, we used to host a gaming booth with the folks from Back2Gaming and 99.5 PlayFM, where we held tournaments and met fellow gamers. It’s always a treat to give gamers a place to hang out to take a break from their toy hunts. But enough with the past and on to the present. Goddess of Victory: Nikke just released its collaboration event with Stellar Blade (Shift Up developed both games) which features Eve and the gang as playable characters in the popular waifu shooter gacha game.

And to celebrate the collaboration, Nikke hosted a booth at this year’s Toycon with fellow Commanders and guest cosplayers. Visiting the booth will greet you with some freebies from button pins to stickers, and if you participate in some activities, like shooting Chatterbox and see how many points can you rack up where you can bag home some more goodies from acrylic figure stands to ceramic coasters. You might even get to open packs and collect tradable Nikke character cards, I heard it was a sought-after collectible and everyone is trying their luck on some of the SSR unit favorites. There are also guest cosplayers who are also avid fans of Nikke that you can meet at the booth. Kach Phrase, Mizaki Aya, Kimmy DM and more were at the booth on certain days to meet up with fellow Commanders, and lucky fans were able to get some Nikke-themed cupcakes as a treat.

It’s nice to see games like Nikke making an appearance at other conventions that are outside gaming, and it’s more of a breather to see other attractions that you can visit and give you a quick break from all the toy hunting that you would be doing the entire day. It was fun to see the community still active at in-person events to just hanging out with fellow Commanders and with the cosplayers, from group photos and taking home freebies, the support is still strong for the game.

Will we see more gaming booths pop up in pop culture events? Who knows, but gaming booths are always a welcome sight.

Though I’m not active with the game for a while, I did manage to check out the latest collaboration in the game just to get some of the new characters from Stellar Blade. Currently, you can now play the game either on your phone or on PC, so it’s a neat way to multitask with other stuff while you complete your daily quests in the game. The Stellar Blade collaboration event runs until the end of the month. You can download Goddess of Victory: Nikke on iOS and Android
