Yeah there was that 2010 live action movie, and it was bad, but let’s just forget about it.
Namco Bandai has just announced that they will release a new Tekken movie; entitled Tekken Blood Vengeance. This time it will be generated in 3D animation and it will be supported by same development team for the video game.
Digital Frontier will be handling the animation, they are also behind the cinematic openings for Tekken 5 and 6 as well as for the CGI movie Resident: Degeneration and Appleseed and Namco Bandai’s head of the art and graphics department Yoshinari Mizushima will also be part of the production.
Dai Sato, writer of Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in The Shell, will be penning the script for the movie while Shinji Higuchi (Evangelion: 1.0 You are (not) Alone) will be handling the storyboard.

Tekken Blood Vengeance will be shown in theaters this summer.
