GM Tristan announced last Saturday at Level Up Live 2011 that a new MMO game will be released next year, and that game was Bounty Hounds Online. BHO is a third-person Sci-Fi MMORPG where players can choose from 5 different classes*;  Trooper (melee DPS), Scientist (tank), Bioengineer (medic), Agent (rogue) and Artillery (ranged/AOE dps), they will be able to acquire 3 types of robotic pets ( melee, ranged, tank) which can be customized to the player’s liking. The game was developed by XPEC Entertainment and Namco Bandai Games.

We’re very excited to introduce Bounty Hounds Online to the Pinoy online gaming community,” says Jake San Diego, Playweb Games General Manager.  “It has everything a typical gamer would expect out of a great online game: beautiful graphics, awesome game play and lots of PVP action. But for the sci-fi fan, it offers a lot more. Players will surely be blown away once they get to adventure through Bounty Hounds’ futuristic environment and go to battle with the aid of transforming mechanical pets. Just like all of them, we can’t wait to launch this game.

BHO is currently in Open Beta in North America and Europe, the Close Beta Test schedule in the Philippines will be announced in the coming weeks and the game will be published by Level Up! Games.

*The character class names are based on the NA version of BHO.

For those who didn’t know, Bounty Hounds Online was actually based on the 2006 PlayStation Portable game of the same name, we will post a game review of the PSP game in the coming weeks. For now, take a look at the in-game videos for both the MMORPG and PSP game.
