Many companies nowadays have little or no concern for the environment. They don’t mind emitting a large amount of smoke, cutting down trees, and polluting waters as long as they make money. Among those ruthless companies are those in the computer industry. A lot of computers are so efficient but consume a lot of energy, bringing forth negative environmental effects.
However, there is always an exception. REDFOX, one of the leading IT brands in the Philippines, has recently proven that more than producing technological innovations, it also cares for the earth. In line with its environmentalism, REDFOX sponsored the 2011 Miss Earth Beauty Pageant in Tarlac from November 23 to 24, 2011. It provided the judges with energy-conserving hardware to determine the winner of the Long Gown Competition and Miss REDFOX, which was won by Miss Venezuela.
To show their appreciation, the 30 Miss Earth candidates graced REDFOX’s Dona Hemady office last November 26, 2011 for an elegant dinner and some photo sessions. They also took time to try their hand at REDFOX’s different products.
Capping off the successful partnership, REDFOX sponsored the Miss Earth coronation night last December 3, 2011 at the UP Diliman Theater. It provided its Optima laptops that were used to judge the competition won by Miss Ecuador. During the course of the night, REDFOX gave away eight of its Razor laptops.
The battle against environmental degradation is a tough one. But as long as the earth suffers, REDFOX will continue prowling to greener pastures.
