A set of images were spreading across the internet of a new and much slimmer version of the PlayStation 3. Although it is still unsure if this images are fake or not.

The leakage of the pictures came from Anatel, a telecommunications agency in Brazil and it seems that this new model will have a hard disk capacity of 250, 500 and 16 (yes 16!) GB. From the looks of it, it’ll be a much slimmer that from the 2nd gen “PS3 Slim” models, plus the design has the hybrid of the 1st gen “PS3 Fat” and 2nd gen.

The model of the supposed new PS3 console are CECH-4011A, CECH-4011B and CECH-4011C, which corresponds to the 16 gb, 250 gb and 500 gb models. We also found one document that supports the authenticity of the leakage, which is the diagram found at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database which shows the diagram of a PS3-like console.

Up to now, there are still no info on the said new model, even from the actual size dimension of leaked product is still unknown or whether there will be new features or even a planned release date.

We will give you guys an update once we can get more info on the leaked images.
