Top graphic card manufacturer Nvidia held a special Geforce Day event for their loyal gamer fans last July 21, 2012 at the SM City North EDSA. Despite the really bad weather, gamers still filled the whole area even before the event started in the morning, and the first 300 attendees will take home a free Nvidia T-shirt.

There were booth from 6 of Nvidia’s partners (ASUS, Inno3D, Manli, MSI, Palit, Sparkle) each showcasing their Geforce graphic cards. Some of the graphic cards featured in the event were the GT 610, GT 620 and GT 630; these three are the newest line of entry level graphic cards. But don’t let this cards fool you, these cards can still pack a punch on some of the latest games in the market. This targeted audiences who are in a budget but still wanted to experience good quality graphics for their desktops. Aside from the entry level cards, we also saw some high end cards such as the GT 670 and GT 680.

There are live game demos where attendees can test out the latest games running on Nvidia cards. There was also a live presentation from Nvidia as well as its 6 partners explaining some of their latest technologies. There was also a gaming tournament, but only two contestants each for Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and Battlefield 3 were present at the competition. A cosplay contest was also held, were the cosplayers showcased their gaming themed costumes at the stage. All the winners get a graphic card as well.

Nvidia also gave away over a hundred graphic cards to those who attended the event, we event thought we were in an Oprah Winfrey show, but kidding aside almost everyone went home with a brand new graphic card and a big smile on their faces.

Congratulations to Nvidia and its partners for a successful event.
