Borderlands was an awesome game, with bazillions of guns, and its sequel Borderlands 2 promises with more gazillions (bigger than bazillions, I think) of guns, and with 40 plus hours of pure gun toting action, could you ask for more?

If you think there’s no additional content for Borderlands 2, well surprise! Gearbox Software announced before the game release that they will add a new character class as a DLC, those who pre-ordered Borderlands 2 will get it for free, those who are unlucky will have to fork $9.99 to get it.

The new character will be Gaige (pronounced as ‘gauge’) the Mechromancer, she has the ability to summon a robot sidekick named Deathtrap who will assist you in your mayhem, and similar to the other characters, Gaige will also have 3 kinds of skill trees for you to specialize, one of these allows players who are new to First Person Shooters to  play the game with the level of an experience FPS player. Originally she was supposed to be available 60 to 90 days after the initial release of Borderlands 2, but Gearbox Software announced that they’ll release in a much earlier date (October 16) but in early October they announced again that they’ll release it in a really much earlier schedule (one week before the announced date, and that was October 10).

As the patch update was released during the Mechromancer release, players discovered some files that hinted clues for the upcoming expansion pack DLC , it feature new map locations, a new weapon rarity, vehicles and mobs. A day later, Gearbox announced that the first of the four expansion packs; Captain Scarlet and Her Pirate’s Booty will be available on October 16 for $9.99. Alternatively, you can purchase the Borderlands 2 Season Pass for only $29.99 to get all four expansion packs once they are available .
