PC manufacturers have adopted USB 3.0 as the new standard for their desktop and notebook computers, allowing users to realize file transfer speeds up to 3 times faster than what is currently available using USB 2.0. The new WD My Book 4 TB drive maximizes the USB 3.0 connection and gives PC users the ability to backup computer files faster than ever before, while its large 4 TB capacity provides a safe haven for all digital content to be stored and protected. The My Book 4 TB is compatible with PCs and notebook computers that use USB 2.0.  The My Book 4 TB (as well as the 1 TB, 2 TB and 3 TB) drive, designed for PC users, provides sufficient storage to backup digital files stored on their PC and will be out-of-the-box compatible with the new Windows 8 operating system.

In addition to providing file protection through backup, the My Book 3.0 4TB drive also include automatic, continuous backup of all content generated on your computer and offers password protection and hardware encryption to provide additional security against unauthorized access to files and other data.

The My Book Thunderbolt Duo 8 TB external hard drive is available now at select retailers and is distributed by Axis Global and EA Global Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. in the Philippines starting at PHP 37, 590. The My Book 4 TB external hard drive is also available for PHP 9, 990.
