Okay after hearing this, I bet that some of you who haven’t purchase Diablo III will consider getting this, and those who also own a copy might also consider getting this one too.

Blizzard showcased a playable console version of Diablo III at PAX East, and according to Kotaku, there are two things that made the console version to be the best version yet.

First is that the controls on the console works perfectly on Diablo III, from the analog controls to attacking and moving simultaneously. PC users will be able to hop in the console and play the game without any difficulty on the controls.

The second is that the game will be played in OFFLINE MODE, yes you read that right you can now play Diablo III without requiring to be always online. Although the console version won’t be using the Battle.net for multiplayer function, it will be using the PlayStation Network instead. Plus you can do a multiplayer locally up to four players.

So far only the PlayStation 3 was mentioned to have Diablo III and still no news for next gen console port, the release for the console version is still ‘soonish’, but let’s hope for a 2013 release.

More than a decade ago, Blizzard also made a couple of console ports for Starcrft on the Nintendo 64 and Diablo and Warcraft II for the PlayStation.
