Time for another episode of our own version of Throwback Thursday: #IwasTHERE

For this week, we are celebrating the 10th year anniversary of the most played MMO in the Philippines: Ragnarok Online.

On September 14, 2013 will mark the 10th year of the first MMO from GRAVITY Co., Ltd. that graced the Philippine online gaming community and up to this day it is still marked as a beloved MMO for gamers.

Back then maybe when you were a student or a yuppie, do you remember those times that you wanted time to go faster or for your current shift to end so that you can go to your suking net shop to play RO? Were you the Thief? Knight? Priest? Maybe you were in a guild where you scheduled a raid with your co-guildmates beating the competition? Did you also participate in that vert first guild war with other guilds from another part of the Metro? Those times you went one-on-one with other players? Those days when you toiled your hours so you could keep up wth your party memebers also to get the needed amount of experience to level up your character?

Also, were you there during the launch event held at the Glorietta Activity Center around 2003? 🙂

Alternatively subtitled The Final Destiny of the Gods, often referred to as RO, is a Korean massive multiplayer online role-playing game or MMORPG created by GRAVITY Co., Ltd. based on the manhwa Ragnarok by Lee Myung-jin. Released in South Korea on August 31, 2002 for Microsoft Windows and has been released in many locales around the world. The game has also inspired an animated series titled: Ragnarok the Animation with it’s sequel game: Ragnarok Online 2 : Legend of The Second. There were also console games designed after it.

As far as memories come by, we asked a simple question from one of RO Philippine’s former GMs on what was his most memorable moment while being a GM for Ragnarok Online Philippines…here is his comment below:
