The design is quite simple, nothing too fancy nor flashy. Looking on the front side, you can see that is has that mesh and honeycomb design on the panel, you can attach up to two fans inside the front panel (one fan is already installed on the package). On the back portion, it has all the slots for the hardware components, 8 PCI slots, motherboard bay and PSU bay (it even has a fan filter below the bay) the Evolution includes a free 120mm mounted fan.
On the side panel, it has a window and a slot for the 140mm fan, the top portion has two slots for a 120mm fans as well as the power switch (which also acts as a fan control knob), 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports, there is also a trap door on the top that has an HDD docking bay where you can mount 2.5″ to 3.5″ HDDs and SSDs on it for a quick file transfer which is very convenient. A small issue on the knob is that you might forgot that it is also the power switch and you might accidentally turn your computer off when playing with the fan control
On the inside, the Evolution has a large capacity that you can install a large graphic card up to 305mm, so enthusiasts can install multiple graphic cards for their ultimate rig. There are six slots with screw-less mechanism for any 5.25″ devices which makes it easier to mount and dismount the devices. The HDD tray has a special shock-proof design for both HDD and SSD, this prevents shakes and unnecessary noises from the hard drives.
Cable management is a breeze thanks to the cable routing holes on the side panel to keep those wires hidden and to show off your powerful rig components.
If you are worrying on the air ventilation, the casing has a ton of slots for fan installation to keep your rig cool even if the computer is juicing more processing power. You can even install the Cougar Vortex fans for better cooling power.
All in all, the Cougar Evolution is a good choice if you are looking for a large casing with a lot of features. It may not be as flashy as some other casings, but its features gives you more benefits.
