Get HYPED as Competitive Gaming goes to new heights once again as Fighting Games take center stage in what is possibly going to be another biggest Gaming Tournament.
Competition at its Finest
This year’s Evolution Championship Series would look to be the biggest single Gaming event this year with a total 5600 participants hailing from 46 different nations all over the world. As for the venue, the EVO Championship Series 2014 will be held once again in the center of American Entertainment, the LVH Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The multinational and multicultural event will take place this coming July 11-13, 2014.
Different Game Titles, One Big Event
The EVO Championship Series 2014 will feature a total of 8 Different Fighting Game titles ranging from popular classics to fairly newer, yet exciting ones as well. The 5600 participant total is further divided among these 8 titles and will go head-to-head in a series of elimination brackets.
In the final tally, Ultra Street Figher IV leads the number in participant list with nearly 2000 players competing, on the other end of the list would be Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which, despite its popularity, only had 257 competitors.

Filipino Contenders Entering the fray.
With the participants coming from 46 corners of the Globe, our Filipino contenders were not to be left out as 2* of our local players will take their shot for a world championship at EVO 2014. Remar Vincent “Revin” Supnet will go forth and compete in the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Competition and EVO 2012 Champion, FilAm Ryan Ramirez will also be taking his chances in this year’s EVO Championship Series, although it’s not sure yet if which game title will he be participating in.

The Fighting Game genre has been one of the cornerstones of Competitive Gaming today, setting the tone of purely competing for the hell of it, not minding the travel hassle and the prize pool, just to be held as the “Best in the World”.
