One of the world’s most famous Fighting Game franchises gets another installment as Namco Bandai’s Tekken is about to get its 7th Episode.

Namco Bandai’s Katsuhiro Harada officially confirmed the existence of Tekken 7’s development just last weekend in the EVO Championship Series 2014 held in Las Vegas Nevada. The “makeshift” trailer, as it was described, featured some scenes from the previous Tekken episodes and gives us a sneak peek of its central storyline which looks to focus on the Father-Son Rivalry of the Michima Bloodline.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the 7th Episode of The King of the Iron Fist Tournament is that it would run on Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, a platform known for its high degree of portability. With this information in hand, fans should already know that the game will be available on the PS3 and XBOX 360 consoles although no confirmation yet if the same thing can be said on the PS4 and XBOX One. A preview of the game’s development was also posted on AOL just a couple of hours ago although it was already taken down by its uploader.

Tekken’s long line of episodes seemed to have ended in 2010, after the full release of Tekken 6 and its update, Bloodline Rebellion with no further hint of future development. But now, with the development of Tekken 7 already being leaked to the public, fans are once again given something to look forward for as they aim to be, once again, the King of The Iron Fist Tournament.
