Assassination and parkour seems to go well together as the long running Assassin’s Creed franchise has proven, and to give support to it is Ubisoft’s recent announcement of a new Assassin’s Creed title that will come to invade consoles soon.
Revisit the historical secret battle between the Templars and the Assassin’s that started in the time of the 1100s and continued for centuries once more as Ubisoft finally confirms Assassin’s Creed Rogue which will invade the PS3 and Xbox 360 Platforms this coming November. This title’s storyline will take place in the 18th Century, the time of culmination for the French and American Revolutions, and will have its setting centered in North America.
Ubisoft labels this title as the “darkest chapter in the franchise to date”, and will let players explore the cold waters of the North Atlantic, revisit and explore North America’s Eastern Seaboard through the form of Shay Patrick Cormac, the game’s protagonist. Ubisoft also states that this game will have the crucial link to the Kenway Family Saga of Assassin’s Creed 3 and 4 and will also tie up to another upcoming title, Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Ubisoft Sofia Director Michael Capel has this to say:
“We know that there are many Assassin’s Creed fans with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles who want to get their hands on a new Assassin’s Creed game this year. Assassin’s Creed Rogue completes the North American saga started with Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and gives previous generation console owners an exclusive opportunity to experience fan-requested features, such as playing as a Templar.”
Additional gameplay rumors like the characters from previous titles of the series making a comeback is also in circulation but Ubisoft themselves would not want to give a comment on the said statements.
So expect more blood, more jumping and running around, more cannon fire and of course, more historically rich story line as Assassin’s Creed Rogue hits consoles soon.
