We paid a visit at Toy Kingdom’s Toy Expo Philippines 2014 and we saw a familiar face showcasing their awesome products.

The Toy Expo Philippines is Toy Kingdom’s annual event that features some of the latest line of toys from popular brands such as Bandai, Hasbro, Mattel, plus many more. We had a chance to visit the said expo to check out some of their offerings and we stumbled upon Sony PlayStation’s booth.

From the first look it feels like their booth setup just came out from a major gaming convention, the booth presentation was great and you can see that they mean serious business when promoting their latest games. They had a couple of PlayStation 4 consoles on display for attendees to take a peek and try out the newest line of games. It seems that Sony Philippines was not in charge of the booth but rather from PlayStation Asia, they were also present from the previous Toy Expo a few years ago.

Some of the games featured were LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, The Playroom, Just Dance 2014, P.T. , The Sly Cooper Collection and Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for the PS Vita and Driveclub.

We first tested Driveclub from the list of games, since the game isn’t released in the market yet, the version they are using was from the E3 2014 demo, so there only few tracks to choose from it. The demo units were equipped with the Thrustmaster T80 Driveclub Edition. Driveclub lets you join a certain club, where participating in any race, you’ll earn points for you club based on your performance where you can use to purchase new cars.

We also tested Dance Central 2014 and Playroom that utilizes the PlayStation camera and the Dual Shock 4 controller, we even had the chance to try the P.T. demo though we never managed to solve the puzzle that will unlock the *spoiler* new Silent Hill game teaser trailer.

It’s good to see that PlayStation is now active in the local scene, but we do hope that PlayStation would continue to showcase this kind of booth in future gaming events and more support to the local PlayStation community
