Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gets a new lengthy gameplay demo video and it will be available next year

The latest demo video from Tokyo Game Show features Snake taking a mission in a jungle. The game will feature different locales as you complete missions, some of the new feature is the ability to do Fulton Recovery on your transports, including horses. We then get to see Snake climbing on giant rocks and cliffs.

You can also see new gimmicks in the demo, such as getting inside a cardboard box then changing outfits and throwing a Snake decoy to distract enemy soldiers plus a new stun weapon where Snake uses his mechanical arm to shock enemies, knocking them unconscious . You will be able to get a companion in the mission, in this demo Quiet will be you partner, you can assign her to any location to provide you cover whenever you get spotted by enemies, you can even issue commands to neutralize any target within her range. You may also notice that there is a delay on the Fulton Recovery before it goes airborne, it’s because all Fulton Recoveries can be interrupted by enemy fire so be sure to clear out any opposition before performing any recoveries.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available sometime in 2015 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. PC release was also confirmed but no details on the release date.
