So you think the Amiibo will only work for Super Smash Bros.? Well think again

The Amiibo was created by Nintendo to add more twist to your gaming experience, by just tapping your Amiibo on the Wii U’s gamepad thanks to its near field communication (NFC) feature, you can add a new character to the game, customize it and level it up or even unlock special items in a game. The gimmick is somewhat similar that from the Skylanders and Disney Infinity game where you can use the figures to add a character in the game.

It was featured as a part of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U line up where you can unlock a custom character depending on what Amiibo figure you used, you can then level that character and then use it against your friends who also has an Amiibo.

But Super Smash Bros. isn’t the only game that you can only use with the Amiibo, more future games as well as previous games can utilize the Amiibo figure. You can check the images for the list of figures that are compatible to selected games. The Wave 1 figures are already available and the other wave will arrive in the coming months.

You can learn more about the Amiibo at their official site: http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo
