The sequel to the Tomb Raider 2013 reboot brings Lara Croft to the “frozen wilds of Siberia on a hunt for the lost secrets of immortality”.

The information and coverage was greatly released by Game Informer, reserving 12 pages of the publication to showcase the game’s features.

Continuing after the events of the Yamatai, the game’s plotline will revolve around Lara Croft and Jonah Maiava traversing the frozen wilderness of Siberia in hopes to discover the invisible city of Prince Vladimir. One of the game’s “new” features is the upgraded Crafting Mechanic in which Croft will not only be prying boxes open with a pick-axe but also will scavenge for minerals, metals and other materials to create new items such as poisonous ammo, grenades, traps and even molotov cocktails. The in-game environment has also received improvements as it now affects AI of both the Animals and Enemies.

MicroSoft and Square Enix has set Rise of the Tomb Raider to be an Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive, an exclusivity that won’t be lasting long, and will be set to release during the holiday season of 2015.
