A new Dissidia game was announced and will be hitting the arcades soon.

The announcement was held at the Japan Amusement Expo in the Chiba Prefecture, Square Enix has already teased about the game since last month.

Dissidia Final Fantasy will feature a new three-on-three battle system, a somewhat similar approach to the two-on-two battles in the Gundam Extreme Vs. arcade games. Some of the main protagonists from the different Final Fantasy will return as well as some new characters such as Y’Shtola from Final Fantasy XIV.

The trailer featured The Warrior of Light (Final Fantasy I), The Onion Knight (Final Fantasy III), Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI), Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) and Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII) and all are in-game character models instead of the usual CGI.

No further details were mentioned but more info will be unveiled on April 10 for their special presentation.
