Dubbed as “Unreal Lite” Unity Technologies new version of its famed 3D Game engine editor is now free for grabs.
Announced via press conference, Unity Technologies proudly unveils Unity 5, the newest version of their 2D and 3D Game Environment editor. The release comes with a ton of upgrades to the Unity Engine plus in 2 versions, namely Professional and Personal. The Personal version is free for developers and individuals with only less than $100,000 in annual revenue. While the Personal version already comes with the complete features of the Unity 5 engine, Pro users will have addons such as Team Licence, Unity Cloud Build Pro, Beta and Preview Access, Analytics, Game Performance Reports, and access to Level 11 deals found in the Unity Asset Store.
In addition to the massive upgrades on the Unity Engine, Unity 5 will also soon feature support for the VR headset Oculus Rift.
