TheNet.Com held a press conference to promote their upcoming TNC Cup 2015 tournament.
Last February 27 at the Jade Valley Cantonese Cuisine in Quezon City, TheNet.Com invited the media to witness their presentation for their upcoming TNC Cup 2015.
Their goal is to promote responsible gaming to the community as well as educate the masses about eSports or competitive gaming and even giving this the same treatment as a legitimate sports. With this in line they announced the TNC eSports Cup 2015, a 9-month long tournament that will feature 4 major games (DoTA 2, League of Legends, Crossfire and Dragon Nest).
The Open Season will start in March and ends in July, followed by the Playoffs from the top 16 teams in August to October and the Grand Finale on November for the final round for the top 8 teams.
The format for the games will be as follow:
- 1st week of the month: DoTA 2
- 2nd week of the month: Dragon Neest
- 3rd week of the month: League of Legends
- 4th week of the month: Crossfire
The Grand Finale will be held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila, a first for any major gaming tournament to be held in a sports complex.
The TNC Cup 2015 will be sponsored by Gigabyte, AOC, Philips, Nvidia, Ubertech and AData
Their Gaming Partners are GameClub, Cherry Credits and Garena, their Streaming Provider will be Gosu Studios.
