Super Mario Maker Sold One Million Copies

That’s right, they sold a million copies from both physical, digital and bundled packs.

Nintendo has just announced that their latest Mario game has sold (not shipped) a million units. The game level editor has become a hit for Wii U owners, than in a span of just 3 weeks, it managed to sell a million copies. It is also noted that in Super Mario Maker, more than 2.2 million courses have been created and was played for almost 75 million times. Super Mario Maker has become the fastest selling Wii U game.

Despite releasing fewer games for the Wii U, Nintendo can still release high quality first-party games that ensures an instant hit, some examples include Mario Kart 8 with around 2 millions units sold and Super Smash Bros. for both Wii U and 3DS that sold more than 4.5 million.
