It’s that time once again for another awesome gaming event, and here are five reasons why you should bother.

A few days left and we will be witnessing the biggest gaming convention making a comeback, it’s the haven for everything video games, whether you are into competitive games, the casual type or you just want to hang out with your fellow gamers. This year, it is going to be bigger than ever, with more than 4,000 square meters of space will be used to showcase the best in everything video games. The eSports and Gaming Summit will be at the SMX Convention Center on October 24 and 25 and we listed five great reason on why you should attend the event.

 

All the Game Publishers are here

That’s right, all the biggest MMO Publishers are showcasing their newest line of games from the PC and mobile and even some of their flagship games, brands such as Wargaming, PlayPark, Cherry Credits and Gameclub will be present at ESGS. Here’s your chance to try out some of the games both current and some that you might play exclusively at the event. This is also the best place to meet up with your fellow guild members or community buddies for a good old group meet up.

Indie Arena

The Indie game developers are getting a proper spotlight at ESGS. You will be able to see some of our aspiring local game developers as they share some of their current works. And the best part, you can hang out and chat with the developers and get to know on how they created their games, this can be a great inspiration for you to follow their footsteps in you are interested in making your own games. PLDT will be hosting the Indie Arena area where tons of indie developers will be present to showcase their games.

 

The Fighting Game scene gets a proper spotlight

Hurray for fighting game fans, finally the fighting game genre is getting the much deserved treatment for this year’s ESGS. With seven communities that banded together to create a series of tournaments for both professional and amateur, there is no reason for you not to miss this opportunity especially if you are into this kind of genre. From Ultra Street Fighter IV to Guilty Gear Xrd to Super Smash Bros. you can even get to meet some of your fellow FG buddies during a friendly match or in an intense competition.

Gaming Console giantsĀ are making a big scene

And for the first time, two giant gaming companies will be making a presence in a local gaming event. Ubisoft will be showcasing their upcoming Just Dance 2016 and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate games and fans will have a chance to try them. Also PlayStation will be making a big appearance with a large booth to match it, they will be showcasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for everyone to try out and there will be a competition as well.

Aside from the fighting game-oriented Brawlfest and the indie game gallery of PLDT’s Indie Arena, you will be spotting some cool attractions at ESGS. From 88 GamePub’s motion capture area where you can see their crew gearing up to record their movements through motion capture. MSI’s gaming area where you can marvel at some of the best modded gaming rigs from the rig enthusiasts, there are also a ton of exhibitors that will be showcasing their products and merchandise, plus some mini games where you can take home a ton of freebies.

BONUS: One-day Cosplay Competition

There is also a special one-day cosplay competition that will be handled by Anime Alliance Philippines, so if you are a gaming fanatic and is into cosplaying, here is your chance to show yourself as your favorite video game character. You can join the catwalk or just show up in your costume and just have fun with the rest of the gamers.
