Apacer introduces the 16GB high-capacity DDR3L 1600 SODIMM

The world’s leading memory brand Apacer Technology has marked another achievement. As the global electronics industry gravitates toward eco-friendly, lightweight and compact designs, Apacer beats competitors to the punch by launching high-capacity 16GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM. Due to its ultra-low operating voltage (1.35V) yet powerful perfo rmance efficiency, it has become the world’s only high-capacity 16GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM to pass compatibility testing on Intel NUC platforms, including 5i5MYBE/ 5i3MYBE/ 5i3RYH.

According to Apacer product manager David Lin, the reduction of operating voltage in standard DDR3 from 1.5V to 1.35V reduces the electrical load of the memory controller while maintaining full compatibility in terms of functions, achieving 15% or more power-savings than standard DDR3 at equivalent performance and load, and the use of DDR3L with lower voltage is the trend for notebook computers going forward. He further pointed out that small form factor, lightweight and thin notebook computers usually mean crowded space and limited heat dissipation, but the 1.35V ultra-low voltage used in Apacer 16GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM not only rapidly reduces heat production but also effectively reduces overall energy consumption, making it the ideal choice for Mini-ITX system and thin power-saving notebook computers.
