Ubisoft will be Opening a Studio in the Philippines

This will be the big leap for the country as a major game publisher will launch a game studio in the Philippines.

It has been announced that major game company Ubisoft will be setting up a game studio in the Philippines, this was revealed during a press launch today at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Makati. Present on the event were Managing Director of Ubisoft Singapore Olivier de Rotalier, and Studio Manager Chip Goh as they laid out their plans in the Philippines. Back2Gaming shared the info regarding to the announcement.

The production studio will start its operation sometime in second quarter of 2016 as they will hire talents in the Philippines for game development. The said studio will be located in the De La Salle University campus in Sta. Rosa Laguna. Up to 50 talents are expected to be hired and will collaborate with other Ubisoft studios such as Ubisoft Singapore in creating AAA games. Interested talents with backgrounds in game development and design who wished to join Ubisoft can apply by emailing at philippines@ubisoft.com

Ubisoft is responsible for the creation of the Assassin’s Creed series as well as some popular games such as Rayman, Splinter Cell, Watchdogs and the recently released Tom Clancy’s The Division.
