WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, released more information about its upcoming MMORPG titled MU LEGEND.

MU LEGEND is the much-hyped new MMORPG, the prequel of the WEBZEN’s major title MU ONLINE. MU LEGEND is also highly anticipated work with powerful hack-and-slash combat, various PVP contents, and stunning graphics. It chose third person perspective and quarter view like its predecessor, and was developed with ‘Unreal Engine 3’.

The main subject is the endless conflict between different races in a world of ‘MU’. With the upcoming Closed Beta (KR), players can choose one among 4 different classes, including Dark Lord, Whisperer, Blader, and War Mage.

Amongst four playable classes, Dark Lord is a class revamped original class of MU ONLINE. Dark Load, the commander of the Dark, has a good stamina and defensive stat, carrying out both a tank and a damage dealer.

On the other hand, Whisperer is a brand-new class inspired by Fairy Elf, an original class of MU ONLINE. Whisperer is a class that specializes in ranged attacks, freely adjusting the distance and position between player and the enemy at high speed.

War Mage is a wizard-type class, featuring its powerful long-range attacks against the surrounding enemies. Blader is a classic warrior class with devastating melee attacks, using a close range weapon like a sword.

For more information on each class, interested players are invited to check out gameplay video at the official WEBZEN YouTube channel below.

MU LEGEND will begin the first Closed Beta Test in Korea on April 21st, 2016(KST), and will be available only in Korea.

Richard Moon, Head of Global Business at WEBZEN, commented: “MU LEGEND is a game not only fulfilling the huge potential of the original game, but also applying the latest game trends.” He also said: “For a Western release, we are currently working on bringing the game to the West. Once a concrete schedule is finalized, we will officially announce the upcoming schedule. So stay tuned!”
