Robot swords and robot conventions are at the centerpiece of this week’s mecha news.

The popular fantasy blade forging channel on YouTube, Man At Arms, went all robot during their latest project release as they choose to forge the legendary defender of the universe’s blade, the Blazing Sword of Voltron.

Just in time with the hype of the upcoming new Voltron series which will be shown on Netflix, Man at Arms, which is now called Man at Arms: Reforged, breathes a new life to Voltron’s Flaming Sword using modern-day forging skills, and time-honored techniques.

Speaking of mechas, the Philippines will have its own Mecha convention this coming November 2016, the Denki Megatech Convention. To be held in the Philippine Trade Training Center, the Denki Megatech Convention will look to feature the numerous popular mechas in pop-culture history, ranging from the likes of Gundams, Voltes V, Zoids, and even video game mechas.
