The series follows the battle between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon, and mainly focuses on the rivalry between the 2 pilots, Amuro Ray, pilot of the titular RX 78 of the Earth Federation Forces and Zeon’s Char Aznable. Apart from elements of the original series, the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy is also set to feature much more realistic technology, and expanded scenes for battles such as the ones in Solomon and A Baoa Qu.
