Although we’re not sure how the re-transition from Galvatron to Megatron is gonna be handled here.

The unbelievable success of Michael Bay’s Transformers series which garnered more than USD 3 Billion in international box office sales will spawn its 5th installment called The Last Knight. Set for release on 2017, The Last Knight will pick off from where Age of Extinction left and is initially believed to follow Optimus Prime’s ordeal against Unicron as he spoke about facing his creators after leaving Earth in the protection of his fellow Autobots.

However, as what was revealed last May 2016, it looks like Prime’s long time rival, Megatron, will be back again, for the 5th time, after being dead and revived, as the movie’s villain and is also getting an updated look to complement Optimus’ new knight-like stature. Revealed by Michael Bay himself, Megatron’s former rigid structure is now replaced by a much more bulky, rounded physique, and is now wielding what looks to be an axe in contrast to his fusion cannon and flail from the previous movies.

As to how he ended up from Galvatron and back to Megatron is not yet revealed, although we are hoping that the upcoming movie may perhaps shed some light into this transformation as they are after all, Transformers.

Transformers: The Last Knight will once again star Mark Wahlberg, star of Transformers: Age of Extinction, the army guys Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, and the voice of Optimus Prime Peter Cullen. The 5th installment to th Transfomers movie series directed and co-produced by Michael bay will be out on June 23, 2017.
