The biggest video game event in the East is finally drawing near with the Tokyo Game Show 2016 just barely a week a way from hitting day 1. Already becoming one of the most celebrated video game events of the year, Tokyo Game Show or TGS has its roots traced back to its inaugural event back in August 22, 2016 and has been running for about 20 years now with its home venue being the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba, Japan.

While it may be not much when it comes to announcements, the Tokyo Game Show showcases a good chunk of video game features from some of the east’s video game development and publishing titans such as Sony, Square Enix and Bandai Namco. Last year, TGS’ attendees reached a total count of 268, 446 people, just 2,000 shy from breaking their overall attendance record back in 2013 which reached 270,197.

This year’s TGS will feature games that are both developed and published by companies such as Sony, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Konami and Capcom together with other participating game developers and publishers.
